Black Beauty '18

The wine is made from Shiraz grapes grown on deep koffieklip soils. Grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness where they are crushed and destemmed directly into stainless steel tanks. A small portion of whole bunches are used during fermentation. The grapes undergo 24 hours cold maceration before fermentation. Once fermentation starts the grapes are pumped over 3 times per day. Post fermentation the grapes are left on the skins until the tannins are nice and soft then
the skins are pressed and the wine undergoes ageing in older wood.

Deep, dark intense ruby colour, with elements of smoky, red fruits as well as hints of vanilla and spice. The pallet is soft and smooth with gentle tannins. Barrel
ageing took place in older barrels for 24 months.
