Walker Bay is a region on the south coast of Western Cape that includes six wards, including Bot River and the three parts of Hemel-en- Aarde (Valley, Upper and Ridge). The vineyards are mostly situated in river valleys (from the Botrivier, the Onrusrivier and the Kleinrivier) and not far from the Atlantic Ocean; cooling sea winds play an important role.
At the bottom of the Houwhoek Pass at Hermanus, the vineyards that make up the Bot River and have a distinct appeal in one of the most desirable wine growing areas in South Africa.
